About Ping Salvador

Ping Salvador is a figurative artist from the Philippines. Her creations lean on portraits and landscapes framed with soulful narratives. Using contemporary realism as her primary technique, she ventures in other styles like surrealism and consistently explores her versatility.

Her current choice of color palette is a transitional discovery from her previous creations. Her present collections project pastel color choices, venturing into less restrained yet subdued color preferences as opposed to darker shades from previous works. This shift to light may likely be a reflection of the artist’s current state of joy.

A Registered Nurse by profession, she pursued her formal education in painting at the Saudi Center for Fine Arts in 2013 while serving in the healthcare industry in the middle east. She is likewise a degree holder of Bachelor of Science in Industrial Education, Major in Drafting, a course which provided her a venue to develop her teaching and drawing skills.

In 2017, she learned classical drawing and traditional oil painting at the Galvez Atelier. She set up her own Art Room gallery in General Santos City, Philippines where she taught painting and built her reputation as an artist.

She juggles between being an art teacher and an artist. Her paintings have been part of several art shows both in the Philippines and abroad.
